    We are hiring an Accounting Manager for our client, a Forbes 100 featured hospital. In this role, you'll be leading a team and contributing to the financial integrity of a renowned healthcare institution.

    Location:
    Buckeye Lake, OH - Onsite

    Compensation:
    $85,000 - $115,000 Per Year + Full Benefits + Relocation Expenses

    Core Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
    • Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience including management experience.
    • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Healthcare experience preferred.

    Hours and Compensation Potential:

    • Full-time position.
    • Salary range between $85,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
    • Eligible for annual at-risk payout of up to 12% of base annual salary based on balance scorecard achievements.
    • Full benefits package included.
    • Preference for someone commutable, but relocation assistance is available.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise the hospital's general accounting department, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable; oversee a team of 10 employees.
    • Develop procedures for the preparation of financial reporting to ensure the highest degree of integrity of the financial statements.
    • Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to facilitate cooperation within the department and with external department managers related to accounting services to ensure outstanding customer service.
    • Communicate with other management regarding the results of the financial statements and any potential issues that may require immediate attention.
    • Facilitate the month-end and year-end closing process and dates to ensure timely financial statement preparation.
    • Effectively communicate with other financial departments (i.e., Purchasing, Corporate Consulting, Payroll) to ensure accurate financial statements.
    • Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and overall integrity of financial statement reporting for hospital operations.
    • Manage information to prevent breaches of confidentiality or unauthorized access.
    • Develop accounting processes and procedures to ensure safeguarding of assets.
    • Monitor current cash status to ensure meeting immediate cash disbursement needs, including coordination of AP and check runs.
    • Review and monitor monthly reconciliations of General Ledger Accounts to their supporting detail to ensure accurate balances in financial reports.
    • Oversee accounts payable functions to ensure appropriate distribution of assets.
    • Oversee daily cash balancing process to ensure accurate reflection of assets.
    • Assist with the preparation of schedules and accuracy of work papers for audits.
    • Approve ACH, bank transfers, checking, and bank reconciliations for accuracy and follow-up.

    Additional Information:

    • Position reports to the Accounting Director, who is well-respected within the organization.
    • This is a fully on-site position, not remote.
