Accounting Manager

Target Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000
Location: 3 day onsite in Newark, NJ
Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including oversight of AP and AR functions.
- Manage monthly close, reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.
- Oversee nonprofit revenue recognition for grants, contributions, pledges, and deferred revenue. [
- Support cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and daily cash management activities.
- Drive process improvements, system integrations, and NetSuite training initiatives.
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within nonprofit organizations.
- Strong experience with NetSuite, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Proven leadership skills with experience overseeing accounting operations and cross-functional collaboration.
