Accounting Manager (Merchant Cash Advance Accounting Experience Required)

About the Role:

Genuine Funding is a growing direct merchant cash advance (MCA) funding company looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to fully own its accounting. This person works directly with ownership, supervises a full-time junior accountant, and manages all accounting and journal entries. The client needs someone who can step in and run MCA accounting independently from day one. They will not train on MCA-industry accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Fully manage the accounting function and all journal entries
• Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet and income statement) and run month-end close
• Handle MCA-specific accounting: funding and collection activity, and reconciling it across Salesforce, QuickBooks, payment processors, and bank accounts
• Send wires and pay commissions (ISO/broker)
• Maintain and pay monthly bills with recurring vendors
• Manage cash balances and transfers between operating and interest-bearing accounts
• Manage UCC filings and lien records
• Prepare budgets and cash-flow forecasts
• Supervise a junior accountant and improve accounting processes and controls

Must-Haves:

• MCA (merchant cash advance) accounting experience. This is the ONLY absolute must. Do not submit lending- or factoring-only candidates.
• Can run MCA accounting independently from day one, with no training needed
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting, including month-end close and financial statements
• Experience managing wires, commissions, and recurring vendor payments
• On-site daily in Delray Beach, FL
