Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting operations within a multi-entity healthcare organization. This role manages accounting staff, ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, maintains strong internal controls, and partners cross-functionally to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Senior and Staff Accountants.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform balance sheet reviews, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

  • Support multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.

  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, AP, and Operations teams to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Coordinate external audits and compliance-related activities.

  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting automation initiatives.

  • Support acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a leadership role.

  • Strong experience managing month-end close in a multi-entity environment.

  • Healthcare, physician practice, MSO, or healthcare services industry experience required.

  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.

  • Experience with audits, internal controls, and staff development.

  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • NetSuite and FloQast experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CPA candidate.

  • Experience in healthcare MSO or multi-site healthcare organizations.

  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or high-growth environments.

  • Public accounting background a plus.

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year
