We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our solar company and help manage our financial operations with accuracy and efficiency.
Duties
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.
- Manage general ledger accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and financial reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning.
- Handle payroll processing and tax filings.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Assist in financial audits and ensure proper documentation.
- Work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Stay updated with tax laws, industry regulations, and best accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector.
- Proficiency/advanced skills in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets - for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Understanding of general ledger accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
