Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to assist with general ledger clean‑up and stabilization. This role will focus on reviewing historical activity, ensuring accurate balances, and bringing core accounting functions up to date. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable stepping into an environment that requires cleanup and correction.
Key Responsibilities
Review and clean up the general ledger, including posting and reviewing adjusting journal entries
Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and key GL accounts)
Manage and reconcile inventory accounting, including valuation and cost accuracy
Review, reconcile, and maintain fixed asset schedules, including depreciation
Identify errors or gaps in historical accounting and recommend corrective actions
Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and audit‑ready
Assist with or prepare tax filings (sales/use, property, payroll, or income tax), as needed
Improve documentation and accounting processes to support ongoing operations
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including cleanup or remediation work
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting
Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Tax filing experience is a strong plus
Pay from $42-50/hour
