Position: Accounting Manager Consultant

Schedule: M-F, Full-time, Hybrid

Location: Columbus, OH

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000

NOW CFO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to join our Columbus, OH team. The Accounting Manager Consultant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting business decision-making. This role partners with leadership to improve processes, maintain compliance, and enhance financial performance across organizations.

We are seeking Accounting Managers with experience across multiple industries (preferably manufacturing, construction, non-profit, and healthcare).

We value candidates with a strong background in accounting operations and leadership. The ideal candidate should excel in managing accounting functions, supporting month-end close, and supervising accounting staff. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger
  • Manage and support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Support audits and coordinate with external auditors
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff

Requirements:

  • NetSuite (Preferred)
  • QuickBooks Online (Preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Adaptable / Flexible
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
