Accounting Manager

I'm partnered with the CFO of a well-known, industry-leading manufacturing company that is looking to add an Accounting Manager due to an internal promotion. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, and audit coordination. This is a hands-on leadership position that plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business decisions through timely financial insights. You'll work closely with teams across the organization, including operations, FP&A, and treasury, while remaining actively involved in the accounting function and helping drive continued process improvements.

Own and lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Develop monthly financial reporting packages, analyze operating results, and provide explanations for key trends and variances.

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure financial data is accurate and complete.

Coordinate annual audit activities, including managing requests, preparing supporting documentation, and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors.

Evaluate and enhance accounting procedures, workflows, and internal control processes.

Support core accounting areas including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and other balance sheet and income statement activities.

Partner with cross-functional teams across finance and operations to support business initiatives and reporting needs.

Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.

Assist with special projects and other finance and accounting initiatives as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 1+ year of public accounting experience, along with experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience supporting inventory accounting within a manufacturing setting

Strong proficiency with Excel

Experience with ERP systems

Previous leadership, supervisory, or people management experience is highly desirable

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders across multiple departments

Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
