We are currently seeking an accounting/leasing assistant to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent, salaried position. In this position, you will assist our residential leasing manager and the accounting staff. This role offers room for growth and career advancement. Projected salary between $50,000 and $60,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable, including processing vendor invoices, verifying bills and preparing payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with bookkeeping and data entry
- Support lease preparation, renewals and tenant communication
- Help with leasing inquiries, property showings, and tenant applications
- Assist with some office tasks, including answering phones and filing
- Ability to work with tenants in a professional manner.
- Administrative tasks related to tenant#39;s lease requirements
Qualifications
- Basic Accounting Knowledge preferred
- Must be proficient working with Excel spreadsheets
- Experience with MRI or a similar property management software is a plus, but not required
- Must be a TEAM PLAYER and eager to learn
- Knowledge of GAAP beneficial
- Must have the ability to provide tangible results with minimal supervision
- Reliable, organized with good attention to detail, and professional demeanor within an office environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Willing to train the right person
