Initial responsibilities include assisting Accounts Payable processing to relieve the AP Manager and driving key components of the Costpoint implementation. This role requires strong full-cycle accounting experience, government contracting knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a high‑volume, deadline-driven environment.o Support the full cycle of the month end closing process with proper journal entries and account reconciliationso Contribute to monthly AP and credit card processing, recording, and reconciliationso Generate, validate and submit customer invoiceso Support expense report processing and reconcile travel costs to projects and GL ledgerso Validate and post labor cost distribution and reconcile labor cost to the payroll ledgero Oversee payroll transactions and journal entrieso Support CPA reviews, DCAA audits and GAAP and FAR complianceo Assist with policies and procedures reviews, updates or create new policies or procedures as neededo Perform periodic financial analysis of indirect costs and variances to the budgeto Coordinate with Senior Financial Systems Accountant:o Maintain Charge Code Authorization Processo Manage Project structure, WBS and project assignmentso Leverage Unanet accounting systemo Work well with all other departmentso Assist with the annual budgeting processo Understand and assist with the indirect rates tracking and varianceso Any other projects as assigned by the ControllerRequired Skills, Experience, and Educationo BS or BA degree in accounting or finance preferredo 7 + years of accounting experienceo Advanced MS Excel knowledge and skillso US Citizeno Knowledge and experience with all types of Government contracts (CPFF,FFP,T&M,other)o Knowledge and experience with FAR, CAS and DCAA complianceo Knowledge and experience WAWF/DFAS Government payment system and processeso Knowledge of GAAPo Great attention to detailo Self-motivated and self-disciplined individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Skills, Experience and Educationo Familiarity with Unanet and or Costpoint ERP systemsPay ScaleAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000-$150,000, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
