ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for someone to own the accounting function for multiple portfolio companies as a hands-on individual contributor, with a focus on audit and acquisition readiness. We’re looking for someone to join our team in Charlotte, working directly with business leadership while remaining hands-on in day-to-day execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the monthly close and day-to-day accounting from start to finish
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports
  • Get the company ready for a potential acquisition by cleaning up the books and organizing due-diligence support
  • Lead the external audit and keep requests, documentation, and deadlines on track
  • Strengthen accounting processes and partner with leadership and teams across the business
  • Work out of our Charlotte office five days a week, alongside the executive team

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a company that was successfully acquired
  • MS in Accounting, MBA, and/or CPA preferred 
  • Experience working through an external audit from the company side
  • Comfort working in a modern ERP or accounting system (we use NetSuite)
  • Solid US GAAP knowledge and books that would hold up to an audit
  • The ability to take things and run with them, without needing a lot of hand holding

COMPENSATION

$110,000 - 130,000 USD, competitive and appropriate to experience level

In addition to cash compensation, a meaningful equity stake is a significant part of the overall package.
