Accounting Intern

Job Summary : Silencer Central is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our accounting team during year-end close and financial statement audit activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and audit support while offering exposure to day-to-day accounting operations.

Shift and Duration: On-site 24-40 hours/week, depending on availability and business needs. Timeframe expected to last from January 2027 through March 2027.

Job Summary:
Silencer Central is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our accounting team during year-end close and financial statement audit activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and audit support while offering exposure to day-to-day accounting operations. The selected candidate will assist with a variety of accounting, administrative, and project-based assignments and gain valuable experience working alongside accounting professionals.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Assist the accounting team with year-end financial statement audit preparation and support

• Gather, organize, and provide documentation requested by external auditors
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing activities
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Help maintain electronic accounting files
• Conduct research and analysis for accounting projects as assigned
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects
• Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as needed

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using spreadsheets and accounting software is a plus

Compensation:
This is a paid internship opportunity, offering hands-on experience and professional development in Accounting. The compensation is dependent on experience and coursework. This temporary internship position is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.
