    Basic Job Functions:

    The role of the Accounting Coordinator will be as follows:
    • Collect, record, and balance daily invoicing, cash, credit card, and check payments
    • Process and apply customer payments, debits, and credits
    • Research and solve payment discrepancies
    • Submit various intercompany billing items
    • Assist with monthly sales tax filings
    • Assist and serve as a backup to the Credit Analyst
    • Process and reconcile purchasing card activity
    • Partner with other departments across org to perform analysis and evaluate financial results
    • Assist with general ledger accounting
    • Support other roles within the accounting department
    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Associate degree or 2 years of experience in Accounting (Accounts Payable, Receivable) or Finance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5 years of previous experience with accounting, finance, or business administration
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
    • Experience in utilizing D365 software
    • Secondary education a plus
