Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Consultant in Salt Lake City, UT.
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support a major ERP transformation initiative while assisting with Treasury and Investment Accounting functions. This role will play an important part in preparing accounting processes for a new ERP environment, enhancing reporting and reconciliation workflows, and supporting key month-end accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transition to a new ERP platform by updating journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting workbooks to align with a revised chart of accounts
- Assist with streamlining and automating accounting processes, including reconciliation and reporting activities
- Conduct detailed analyses and comparisons of financial reports and supporting data across multiple custodial reporting systems to help evaluate reporting solutions
- Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations related to Treasury and investment accounting
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure successful implementation of system and process changes
- Provide general accounting and project support as needed throughout the implementation lifecycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline from an accredited institution
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including accounting principles related to investments and financial statement disclosures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data
- Demonstrated experience improving accounting processes or operational workflows
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting accounting system implementations or ERP transformations
- Familiarity with Workday Financials or similar ERP platforms
- Experience working with investment accounting, treasury operations, and custodian reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and project priorities
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- A willingness to drive process improvements and support organizational change
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
