You'll research billing discrepancies, communicate with members and insurance carriers regarding outstanding balances, prepare claims and follow-up correspondence, coordinate collection activities, support retroactive billing processes, and assist with departmental policies and procedures.OUR IDEAL ACCOUNTING CLERKAssociate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience6+ months of related experienceExperience with billing, collections, and follow-up correspondenceKnowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10, and HCPCS codesProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to pay close attention to detailAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 lbsAt least four years of related experience is preferred.ABOUT USWe are a not-for-profit health care organization that has served the panhandle since 1982, delivering high-quality, affordable, and patient-centered care.
