    Accounting Clerk

    Individual is responsible for various automotive accounting functions with a knowledge of automotive F&I processes. Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, will have at least one to two years' experience in a position of similar responsibility. The Accounting Clerk will learn all aspects of Accounts Payable, Billing, Inventory Clerk, Titling Clerk, AR Clerk, Warranty Clerk, and Document Processor. You will have certain tasks assigned to you that you are required for daily, but will be a team player and able to step in when others are out sick or on vacation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Issuing checks
    • DMV title paperwork
    • Process dealer trades
    • Process wholesales
    • General office support
    • Make sure all necessary paperwork is in the deals
    • Send contracts to banks
    • Verify gross profit
    • Accounts payable
    • Make lien payoffs and send to banks
    • Helps with vehicle inventory control and maintains accurate records
    • Answers all vendor inquiries
    • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
    • Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary
    • Process Warranty cancellations and write checks to warranty companies.
    • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
    • Maintains a professional and positive attitude when dealing with customers, co-workers, and supervisors

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong communication skills, prioritization, and time management are required.
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record - no DUI or reckless driving
    • Knowledge of accounting software (CDK) and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
    • Working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legal regulations preferred
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and strict deadlines
    • Desire to learn the many different facets of a dealership accounting office, including cross-training in switchboard and other accounting positions
    • Must be at least 20 years old
