SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the incumbent provides accounting support in the administration of the company s accounts payable/receivable functions.
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to produce and maintain accounting records and financial
information for the company. This includes data collection, processing, record keeping, reconciliation, and reporting for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Interface with the vendors, general public, and other departments via telephone, email, and in person.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
This job/class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintains and supports a positive, collaborative culture within the organization as a whole, fully embracing the cultural and values statements espoused by the company.
Processes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing card transactions
Issues purchase orders daily and checks weekly.
Prepares schedules and reconciliation statements for external auditors use in annual audit.
Assists in the preparation of the company s biennial budget.
Maintains accurate W9 Vendor information and files.
Prepares year end 1099 tax documents.
Distributes mail.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with citizens and co-workers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for finance department archives.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Requires an Associate s Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field.
Requires five (5)+ years of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience.
Certificate or licenses:
Requires a valid Colorado driver s license.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Handles or uses computers or work aids involving some latitude for judgment regarding attainment of a standard or in selecting appropriate items.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves sustained keyboard operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook Mail and Calendars.
Proficient use of a 10-key calculator.
Able to obtain the following ICS Certifications: IS100 & 700.

Placement: Long-Term
Desired Start Date: Monday, Aug 24th or Tues, Aug 25th. Could extend to early October, 2026, based on needs.
Schedule: Mon - Fri (8:00am - 5:00pm), 1 hour lunch.
Pay: $20.62 - $25.77/hour (depending upon experience.)
