About the Role:Autobyzack INC is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Houston, TX! Responsibilities:- Post new vehicle invoices and set up units in inventory
- Process used vehicle purchases from auctions, private parties, and other sources, including payoffs and title documentation
- Scan all accounting documents
- Reconcile new and used vehicle inventory schedules and research out-of-balance items
- Support floorplan audits and month-end close
- Maintain organized deal and inventory records in line with retention requirements
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed
Requirements:- 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of debits, credits, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency in Excel (lookups, basic formulas, sorting and filtering)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines
- Clear communication and comfort working with sales, F&I, and office staff
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with AUTOMATE or another dealer management system
