Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk
Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk.
- Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or dealership experience required
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Basic understanding of general ledger and account reconciliation
- Accurate data-entry and 10-key skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy work environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and prepare payments
- Post customer payments and other receipts accurately
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile G/L accounts and assist with month-end closing
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts
- Research and correct accounting discrepancies
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and dealership departments
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
Perform other accounting and general office duties as assigned
