    Job Description

    The Accounting Clerk at 111 Sign, Inc will support the accounting department by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial recordkeeping. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers to ensure accurate and organized financial operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process accounts payable: verify, code, and enter vendor invoices; prepare checks/ACH payments
    • Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and payment application
    • Reconcile vendor statements, bank statements, and credit card transactions
    • Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting software and the shop management/MIS system
    • Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping as needed
    • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
    • Maintain organized financial records, receipts, and supporting documentation for audits
    • Assist in preparing financial reports, expense summaries, and account reconciliations
    • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and account balances
    • Monitor petty cash and expense reimbursements
    • Assist the Controller/Accounting Manager with special projects and administrative tasks as needed

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
    • 1-3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (print/graphics industry experience a plus, but not required)
    • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good understanding of basic accounting principles (AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations)
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
    • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
