Accounting Associate

Role in the monthly/quarterly close processes to include: Preparation of certain month/end journal entriesPreparation of individual general ledger account reconciliations Assist in the daily initiation of policyholder disbursement wires and other general company wire and ACH disbursementsSupport investment accounting functions as necessaryAssist in the preparation of annual 1099 formsAssist in fulfilling Audit requests as neededProvide assistance as necessary with quarterly and annual state insurance department compliance filings Desired Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldExperience of 1+ years in a similar role preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and WordStrong interpersonal skills; ability to develop positive working relationships within finance team and other teams in the organizationWillingness to work extended hours as required NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
