Accounting AssistantDepartment: AccountingReports To: Accounting ManagerHours: full-time: 7:00 am – 4:00 pmExemption status: Hourly – Non-exemptJOB SUMMARYThe Accounting Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and employees while providing administrative and accounting support to the organization. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, answering and directing calls, processing paperwork, and performing accurate data entry related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general accounting functions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Greet and assist visitors, customers, vendors, and applicants in a professional manner.• Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.• Assist with accounts payable processing, including matching invoices to purchase orders and   receiving documents.• Support accounts receivable activities, including customer payment entry and   documentation.• Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry.• Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.• Research and resolve routine discrepancies and document issues.• Assist accounting staff with month-end and year-end administrative processes.• Reconcile paperwork and supporting documentation as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• High school diploma or equivalent required.• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.• Minimum 1-2 years of administrative, receptionist, or accounting support experience    preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Professional appearance and customer service-oriented attitude.  Confidential – Duct Bank One – www.Ductbankone.com• Strong organizational and time management skills.• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS• Primarily in office-based role• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 poundsEMPLOYMENT STATUSEmployment is at-will and contingent upon onboarding requirements and any required background checks.DBO'S WINNING STRATEGY- Duct Bank subject matter experts         o Resource for our customers for all trades/products touching the product- Be memorable / Easy to work with        o Fun and enjoyable communication        o Find a way to a yes or exhaust all options before the word no- Over the top / Immediate communication        o Don't give the time to look/call/email/text anywhere else        o Documentation and facts readily available
