About the Role:
Corporate Hiring Solutions Inc is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our growing team in Smithtown, NY! Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process and record financial transactions accurately in accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and distribute invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
- Assist senior accountants with audits, reporting, and data entry tasks
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas and spreadsheet management
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player attitude
