Our client is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations in a fast‑paced environment. This is an entry‑level, temp‑to‑hire opportunity ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career while gaining hands‑on experience. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting team to support accounts payable/receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks.
This role offers the opportunity to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business need and is a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Enter and maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks
Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments
Perform basic account and bank reconciliations
Assist with month‑end close activities and reporting preparation
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
Support general bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures
Qualifications
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks is required
Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
