Accounting Assistant Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Associate
Accounting AR Associate is responsible for managing billing, collections, and cash application processes, This role ensures accurate invoicing, timely collections, and strong client relationship management while supporting project managers and leadership with financial visibility into receivables.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing & Invoicing
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, including progress billing, time & materials, and milestone-based invoices, Purchase orders.
- Cash Posting, ACH Wires, Checks, Credit Card processing.
- Process Invoices, NTO's and ensure compliance with construction contract terms
- Collaborate with Managers to verify billing accuracy and approve invoice submissions
- Maintain proper documentation for all billings, including lien waivers and supporting schedules
Accounts Receivable Management
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and client disputes
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile payments to appropriate invoices/projects
- Prepare and analyze AR aging reports for management review
- Construction industry project administration a plus
- Quickbooks, Excel experience
