Accounting Assistant

This position is responsible for setting up jobs and customers, processing job cost information, compiling billing information, processing billings and credits as needed for their customers. This role will also work directly with the project managers and advise the project managers on the profitability of their jobs.

Location: Holland, MI | Onsite
Salary: $50,000-$57,000

CFS has partnered with a local Holland company that's looking to hire an Accounting Assistant. This position is responsible for setting up jobs and customers, processing job cost information, compiling billing information, processing billings and credits as needed for their customers. This role will also work directly with the project managers and advise the project managers on the profitability of their jobs.

Accounting Assistant Essential Functions:

• 
  
• Complies and analyze financial information to prepare job billings
• 
  
• Audits Contracts, orders and all job costs to substantiate individual transactions prior to billing
• 
  
• Job Cost: Set-up new jobs, review time cards, process PO’s, process inventory pulls, review costs, bill jobs
• 
  
• Maintain internal jobs, which includes but not limited to: set-up, track costs and billings
• 
  
• Establish and maintain contacts with customers regarding collection of invoices
• 
  
• Back-up for other Job Cost Accountants while they are out of the office
• 
  
• Other tasks as assigned
• 
  

Accounting Assistant Requirements:

• 
  
• Associates Degree (preferred)
• 
  
• 1 year of experience within accounting
• 
  
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills
• 
  
• Attention to detail
• 
  
• Teamwork
• 
  
• Analytical and willingness to learn
