    About the Position

    We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and organized Accounting Assistant – Accounts Payable (AP) to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing multi-unit restaurant company.

    The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, is highly organized, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely.
    • Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
    • Enter invoices into the accounting system.
    • Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
    • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
    • Download and organize bank statements.
    • Assist with bank transfers and other banking activities.
    • Maintain organized accounting records and electronic files.
    • Support month-end closing activities.
    • Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or Accounts Payable experience preferred.
    • Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is a plus.
    • Experience with restaurant accounting is a plus.
    • Experience with Yooz, Sage Intacct, Sage, or similar accounting software is a plus.
    • Experience processing a high volume of invoices is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to learn new accounting software quickly.
