A financial services organization in New Jersey is seeking an Accounting Analyst in Jersey City to support core bank reconciliation work within a collaborative accounting team. This hybrid role offers exposure to daily reconciliations, reporting, and resolution of outstanding items in a deadline-driven environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday (typically Tuesday and Thursday onsite)
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid
Responsibilities:- Perform daily bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements to source systems and internal records
- Identify, investigate, and resolve reporting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly aging reports for outstanding reconciling items
- Monitor aged or unresolved items and escalate them in accordance with internal procedures
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve reconciliation issues and maintain supporting documentation for audit needs
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:- Experience with Oracle ERP or Oracle Cloud
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and comfort asking questions when needed
