About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Accounting & Administrative Clerks for a company in Hutchinson, MN. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations and customer service functions while helping ensure accurate financial records and smooth office operations. What You’ll Do as an Accounting & Administrative Clerk:
  • Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and account maintenance
  • Process deposits, shipments, customer payments, credits, and RMAs (Return Material Authorizations)
  • Monitor aging reports and issue account statements
  • Process website orders, credit card payments, and customer refunds
  • Collaborate with Sales, Shipping, and Production teams to ensure accurate order processing
  • Provide customer service support, including answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and perform general administrative duties

What You Need to Bring to the Accounting & Administrative Clerk Role:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/CRM systems
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending
