Position Overview
This role will support the firm's outsourced bookkeeping and accounting services practice. The Accountant will work directly with clients, helping manage day-to-day accounting activities while delivering accurate financial information and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bookkeeping and accounting services for multiple clients
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Support payroll processing and related reporting
- Collaborate with clients to address accounting questions and improve processes
- Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Public accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus
- Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
