Position Objective: Support the Finance Team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Group.Roles & Responsibilities: Evaluate and maintain all records of capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit planning, operating records and financial statementsAnalyze and prepare monthly sales tax reports in compliance with all state, city, county and parish lawsAnalyze and prepare annual property tax reports in compliance with all state, city, county and parish lawsProcess payrollAssist organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidations, cost control and project controlAnalyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisComplete month-end close processPrepare and update monthly trial balance supporting reports and reconciliationsInventory item tailoring maintenance and troubleshooting, including costing, location, and availabilityPrepare financial analyses of regional operations for guidance of regional and corporate management, including, but not limited to, monthly commentary, analysis of actual vs. planned results, and recommendations for corrective actionsArrange & support regional audits of company's accounts, physical assets, and internal controlsBackup for mission critical business processes and training of primary process owners, including, but not limited to: Payroll, Sales Tax, Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Banking Administration, P-Card Administration, etc.Prepare daily cash report for HQ Treasury DepartmentConsult with management on financial policies, procedures and applicationsSpecial projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by ManagementRequired Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting; in a manufacturing organization preferred Skills:Ability to follow the company's IMS (in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) policies and procedures at all times Proficient with MS Office Suite with advanced Excel analysis skills (i.e. Vlookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, etc.) Good oral and written communication and analytical skills Exhibit an exceptional standard of quality which includes attention to detail, organization and accountability for excellent resultsDetail oriented with strong analytical capabilitiesProactive in investigating and resolving differences identified during reconciliation processesOther:Normal office environment and occasional exposure to plant environmentOccasional travel and on call required
