The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting. This role performs complex accounting activities, assists with month-end and year-end close processes, prepares account reconciliations, supports audits, and helps ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work collaboratively across departments.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and internal reporting packages.
• Maintain fixed asset, prepaid expense, accrual, and other assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and operational accounting activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules, documentation, and explanations.
• Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies within accounting procedures and close processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
