The Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.EDUCATION: B.A. /B.S. degree in accounting, costing and finance. M.S. in accounting is a plus.EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of accounting experience. Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.SKILLS:

• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Ability to train and manage staff
• Ability to work with little to no supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate accounting functions and programs
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare financial analyses, statements and regulatory reporting documents
• Prepare revenue projections and forecast expenditure
• Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns
• Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Assist with annual audit preparations
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
