Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our established, multi-service law firm in our Palm Beach Gardens office. You will support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, and serve as a backup for payroll processing.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity and month-end close
Prepare accurate financial reports and analysis for firm leadership
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking
Ensure compliance with GAAP and law firm accounting practices
Serve as backup for payroll processing and support payroll operations as needed
Manage accounting and billing workflows within Aderant Expert
Handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
Work closely with and report to the Finance Manager

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
5+ years of legal industry experience, preferably at a mid-sized or large law firm
3+ years of law office billing experience
Proficiency in Aderant Expert (1+ year required)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and law firm accounting practices
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Payroll backup experience
Full-time, in-office in Palm Beach Gardens, FL
