Location: Indianapolis, IN Onsite
Pay Rate: $36/hour
Our direct client is seeking an experienced Accountant professional to support accounting operations, financial reporting, budget management, account reconciliation, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial reports
Maintain and review accounting records for accuracy and compliance
Monitor accounts and provide financial status updates
Develop and improve accounting and bookkeeping procedures
Work with computerized accounting systems and maintain accurate financial records
Establish accounting controls and effective work methods
Review grant reconciliation reports for grant-funded accounts
Support program staff with accounting and funding-related matters
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements
Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports
Resolve complex accounting and reconciliation issues
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Accounts Payable
5+ years of experience with Accounts Receivable
5+ years of experience reconciling complex discrepancies between accounts
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Experience with automated/computerized accounting systems
Experience supporting budget preparation and financial reporting
Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting problems
Ability to develop or modify accounting procedures and methods
