Lease Abstractor

Location: San Jose, CA

Schedule: Hybrid

Contract: 12-month contract; with potential extension

Compensation: $47.21/hr W2

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lease Abstractor to support Lease Accounting and Lease Payment functions. This role will focus on reviewing and interpreting real estate lease documents, accurately abstracting key lease information, maintaining lease data, and supporting finance-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and abstract legal real estate lease documents.
• Accurately enter and maintain lease information within the system of record.
• Verify existing lease data and update lease software as needed.
• Review OpEx/operating expense adjustments for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Support lease accounting and lease payment activities.
• Assist with lease software migration and AI-focused initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience Required:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Experience reviewing, interpreting, and abstracting real estate lease documents.
• Accounting/Finance background.
• Experience managing multiple priorities or challenging projects.

• Lease abstraction / real estate lease document interpretation
• Accounting or Finance background
• Excel
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Lease Accounting experience
• TRIRIGA or similar lease accounting/lease administration software
• SAP or another large-scale ERP system
• Lease software migration experience
• Experience or interest in AI tools and initiatives
