RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight on all aspects of New Lease Accounting (ASC 842)
Solid understanding and application of the new lease accounting criteria
Strong knowledge in identification of embedded leases
Review initial lease assessment for new leases
Review proper treatment for the leases (finance vs. operating)
Review the individual lease checklist against the sub-ledger
Review lease sub-ledger vs. general ledger roll-forward
Record transactions and provide an auditable accounting trail
Share point and JLL - Ensure all leases are accounted for on a frequently basis
Communication - Contact lease owners of any missing information
Master Summary - Update report with new and retired leases
Arms report - Update report with new and retired leases
Perform journal entries
Scan documents and file in shared drive
Other duties, as assigned

Zachry Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the functions of Lease Accounting within the Fixed Asset Team. Highly organized, an ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines, ability to meet month-end close deadlines, and ensure the smooth operation of Lease Accounting. Ability to build on-going cooperation with other departments and a range of internal and external stakeholders will be essential in the success of this role.
