Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist for a manufacturing company in Heber Springs, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate customer and vendor accounts
- Process accounts payable invoices, purchase orders, and non-PO invoices
- Prepare and process checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments
- Review AP aging reports and prepare payment requests
- Generate invoices and monitor accounts receivable activity
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments and collection efforts
- Reconcile customer accounts, vendor statements, and bank accounts
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, invoice issues, and customer inquiries
- Process invoice adjustments when necessary
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
- Maintain organized vendor and customer files
- Produce financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental procedures
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
