Project Accountant – Early Career

Experience: 0–2 years Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, eager to learn, and interested in gaining hands-on experience with project financials, job costing, AP/AR, and construction accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project accounting and financial activities across multiple construction projects
• Assist with job costing, project budgets, and financial reporting
• Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Review and code invoices to the appropriate projects and cost codes
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor payments
• Reconcile project accounts and identify discrepancies
• Assist with monthly financial close and reporting
• Track project expenses, commitments, and budget variances
• Work closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure accurate project financials
• Assist with change orders, purchase orders, and contract documentation
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets for project and management review
• Assist with audits and other accounting-related projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Internship or coursework related to accounting, finance, or construction is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with numbers and financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
• Construction accounting experience is a plus but not required
