Accountant

Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis based on areas within accounting including cash, accruals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany reconciliations and foreign exchange. The Accountant role will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining financial records, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The Accountant role will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining financial records, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. In addition, this role will partner with highly skilled professionals across the business to ensure accuracy, support audits, and drive efficient accounting processes. This candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about maintaining financial integrity and supporting organizational success. In addition, the person in this role will have the mentality to think like a business owner and take a proactive yet collaborative approach to accomplishing business goals. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager or Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate and timely compilation of accounting information, analyses and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting closes for areas of functional responsibility
• Complete and/or oversee the monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts; follow up and resolve outstanding balancing issues
• Accurately and efficiently maintain balance sheet accounts; analyze, understand and interpret trends and variances, and explain fluxes
• Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis based on areas within accounting including cash, accruals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany reconciliations and foreign exchange
• Prepare forecasts and budgets for specific business units for centrally managed costs such as insurance and share-based compensation

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work 
• 1 year of accounting or financial reporting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar
• CPA
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Intermediate Excel skills
