Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and account reconciliations
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform cost accounting activities and analyze manufacturing costs
- Maintain and analyze inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations and valuation
- Review production costs, variances, and related financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general accounting functions as needed
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory is highly valued
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
