Ready for your next accounting opportunity? HTSS is hiring an Accountant to support a large utility company headquartered in Allentown, PA. This is a fully remote, long-term assignment with the potential for extension or permanent hire.
Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Allentown, PA.
What You'll Do
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
Perform account reconciliations and accounting analyses
Support internal controls and process improvements
Research accounting guidance and document findings
Partner with internal teams to solve accounting issues
Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business (with accounting coursework)
3-5+ years of accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (2-4 years required)
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA or CMA
Utility industry, public accounting, or SEC reporting experience
Knowledge of SOX requirements
