ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Scot Shaw Ins Agency, Inc. is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven
Account Representative to help grow our agency through new customer acquisition and deeper relationships with our existing customers.
This is a
sales-focused position for someone who enjoys connecting with people, identifying needs, and helping customers make informed insurance and financial services decisions. The Account Representative will be responsible for generating new business, proactively developing sales opportunities within our existing customer base, and contributing to the overall growth and retention goals of the agency.
This is a hybrid role that will be performed primarily remotely. However, the Account Representative is expected to travel to our
Fort Smith, Arkansas office at least twice per month, as well as attend additional in-person meetings, training, or agency events when needed.

Key Responsibilities:- Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, lead follow-up, and other agency sales activities.
- Conduct needs-based conversations with prospective and existing customers to identify appropriate insurance and financial services solutions.
- Develop and maintain a consistent sales pipeline and follow-up process.
- Proactively contact current customers to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and better protect their households.
- Cross-sell additional products and services based on customer needs.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships that support retention, referrals, and agency growth.
- Provide timely and professional follow-up throughout the sales process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities in agency systems.
- Meet or exceed established activity, production, and sales goals.
- Participate in agency sales meetings, coaching, training, and professional development.
Collaborate with other agency team members to provide an excellent overall customer experience.
Maintain all required licenses and remain knowledgeable about applicable products, underwriting requirements, and agency processes.

QualificationsPreferred candidates will have:
- Prior sales, insurance, financial services, or customer relationship experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated ability to build relationships and earn customer trust.
- A proactive, goal-oriented approach to sales.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Comfort working with sales goals, activity expectations, and performance metrics.
- The ability to work independently while remaining connected and accountable to the agency team.
- Strong technology skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- A willingness and ability to travel to the Fort Smith office at least twice per month.
An active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed may be required to obtain applicable licenses within an established timeframe as a condition of employment.
