    Account Operations Manager

    Who You'll Be Working With

I'm hiring an Account Operations Manager. Before you read the bullet points, I want to tell you a little about who we are, because that matters more than the job description ever will.

    About Us

We run facilities management for a client who, refreshingly, treats us like partners rather than vendors. That changes everything about the day-to-day. We're not managing a transaction. We're part of their team, and they're part of ours.

The work is real estate, which means the buildings operate around the clock and anything can happen at any hour. We take that seriously without letting it run our lives. Work-life balance is a real thing here, not a line on a careers page. We're also honest that when something breaks at an inconvenient time, someone has to care enough to handle it. The trick, and we've mostly figured it out, is that nobody carries that alone. We back each other up. That's the culture, and we're protective of it.

Our technicians and staff take real pride in their work. They care about the buildings, and they care about the people in them. We're not saving lives, and we know that, but we like to think that when the real estate quietly supports the work someone's trying to do, we've made their day a little better. That's enough of a reason to do this well.

    The Role

This is an opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in facilities management, operations, property management, workplace services, or a related field and is ready to take the next step in their career.

We believe strong operations leaders are developed, not simply hired. While we're looking for someone with relevant experience, we're equally interested in finding someone with the ambition, curiosity, and drive to grow into larger leadership responsibilities over time.

You'll own our work order technology platform, the system that keeps everything moving. You'll ensure operational data is accurate, workflows are efficient, and the team has the information they need to succeed. As you grow in the role, you'll have opportunities to identify process improvements and help shape how we work.

You'll oversee our preventative maintenance program, partnering with site teams, technicians, and vendors to make sure critical building systems receive the attention they need before problems become disruptions. The person who does this well has a tremendous impact on operational performance, even if they don't always get the credit.

You'll support sourcing, procurement, and vendor management activities. You'll help evaluate service providers, manage contracts, monitor performance, and build relationships that ensure our vendors deliver on their commitments. Over time, you'll gain increasing exposure to strategic vendor and budget management decisions.

You'll help drive our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program. Safety isn't a box we check-it's part of how we operate. You'll support compliance efforts, coordinate key initiatives, and help maintain a culture where people go home the same way they came to work.

You'll own KPI governance and reporting, helping us understand what's working, what's not, and where we can improve. You'll learn how operational metrics support decision-making and help tell the story of our performance to both leadership and our client.

You'll also help us evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and smart building solutions that are changing the future of facilities management. You don't need to be an expert, but we do want someone who is curious, willing to learn, and interested in where the industry is headed.

Most importantly, you'll work closely with experienced leaders who will invest in your development. This role is intended for someone who wants to grow into broader operational leadership over time and is excited by the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.

    Who You Probably Are

You have experience in facilities management, property operations, workplace services, maintenance planning, project coordination, building engineering support, or another operationally focused role.

You're looking for more than your next job. You're looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience, expand your responsibilities, and continue developing as a facilities management professional.

You understand the fundamentals of operations and know how to build relationships with technicians, vendors, clients, and stakeholders. You may not have done everything listed in this posting before, but you're confident in your ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges.

You're comfortable working with systems, data, and reporting, but you also understand that facilities management is ultimately a people business. You communicate well, stay organized under pressure, and take ownership of your work.

You notice the small things before they become big problems. You're accountable, dependable, and willing to roll up your sleeves when the situation calls for it.

Most importantly, you're curious. You ask questions, seek feedback, and look for opportunities to improve. You want to be part of a team that develops its people and values long-term growth.

    One Honest Note

Buildings don't keep office hours, and neither, once in a while, does the work. We won't pretend otherwise.

But we've built a team that shares the load and a client relationship that makes it worth carrying. We support each other, we trust each other, and we genuinely enjoy working together.

If you're looking for an opportunity to build on your facilities management experience, develop your leadership skills, and take the next step toward a senior operations role, we'd love to hear from you.
