Since 1959, our client has provided high-equality Truck Trailers and personalized service to the transportation industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment repair. The candidate must present a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Location: Pontoon Beach, IL
Shifts: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 9:30am - 6:00 pm
Compensation of the Freight Manager: $20.00 an hour

Responsibilities of the Freight Manager:
- Client Management - build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique shipping needs
- Carrier Collaboration - identify and partner with reliable carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Shipment Coordination - coordinate LTL shipments, optimizing routes and consolidating shipments to maximize efficiency
- Documentation and Compliance - prepare accurate documentation, including bills of lading and shipping invoices
- Problem Resolution - act as a point of contact for clients and carriers, resolving issues such as shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies
Requirements of the Freight Manager:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in LTL freight brokering or a related field
- In-depth understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in relevant software and tools, including transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
- Must meet requirements of background and drug screening policies
