Position Overview The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic business development, client relationship management, and solution-based selling within commercial HVAC and facility service environments. This role combines prospecting, technical consultation, financial proposal development, and account profitability management to expand market share and strengthen long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate brings experience in commercial HVAC services, facilities management, operations and maintenance (O&M), and consultative sales, along with strong analytical and financial skills. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Prospecting
Identify and research prospective clients and project opportunities through market analysis, lead generation, and strategic outreach.
Engage decision-makers including Chief Engineers, Property Managers, Asset Managers, and Facilities Leaders to introduce service offerings and build consultative relationships.
Conduct outreach through cold calling, site visits, conferences, industry events, and digital channels to expand pipeline opportunities.
Maintain alignment with company sales philosophy, structured sales processes, and established procedures.
Account Management & Revenue Growth
Manage and grow existing client accounts through solution-based programs designed to increase sales volume, service penetration, and account profitability.
Develop annual sales strategies to meet or exceed defined targets across maintenance, non-maintenance, automation, controls, and repair services.
Analyze account performance metrics and implement strategies to improve revenue, margins, and customer retention.
Participate in industry and trade associations to enhance brand visibility and client engagement.
Technical & Financial Proposal Development
Prepare, write, and review comprehensive technical and financial proposals, including scope development, cost modeling, and pricing strategy.
Utilize standardized templates and pricing models to ensure consistency and margin attainment.
Deliver professional client presentations that clearly communicate value propositions, ROI, and operational benefits.
Apply financial acumen to ensure sales are developed at defined margin levels and support overall market share growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Operations, Project Management, Chiller Teams, Automation & Controls Teams, and Sales LeadershipCoordinate with to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Partner with Sales and Branch leadership to review and improve account strategies, programs, and operational processes.

Compensation Structure
Annual draw provided in equal weekly payments.
Annual sales plans established across maintenance, non-maintenance, automation/controls, and service lines, aligned with revenue and margin expectations.
Compensation administered according to the company’s posted sales compensation plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service, facilities management, or operations & maintenance environments.
Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, and consultative selling.
Strong financial skills including cost modeling, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis.
Experience developing technical sales proposals and client presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
Competitive, goal-oriented, and high-energy professional with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
