Job Summary/Overview

Position: Technical Engineer

Deapartment: Order Processing

Location: Chennai. India

The Account Manager - Order Processing is responsible for managing and coordinating customer orders from order receipt through execution and delivery. The role acts as a key interface between customers, internal departments, and the German factory, ensuring technical and commercial accuracy, timely project execution, compliance with contractual requirements, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Playing a key-role between the customer and factory in Germany
• Manage and process customer orders with a focus on technical accuracy and timely execution.
• Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with the German team.
• Review and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments (sales, offer-management. engineering,

procurement, production, accounting, controlling, logistics,) and external stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in order processing and project workflows.
• Assist in contract review and ensure alignment with German commercial law and international

standards.

• Create documents like order confirmations, bills, guarantees as well as internal documents

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

• Communication skills in English and German to ensure the continuity of information
• Ensuring needs-based communication in unclear situations
• Experience in the lifting equipment or crane industry is essential
• Ensuring compliance with technical requirements and safety standards
• Ensuring compliance with commercial rules and laws
• Independent recognition of priorities and corresponding processing of customers orders
• Ability to keep track and organize work from multiple jobs at once, keeping deadlines.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Able to work within a global team in a remote working environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical order processing or project coordination
• Excellent communication skills in English and German in speech and writing
• Basic understanding of German commercial law (e.g., BGB, HGB) and international contract

principles

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical aspects
• Solid commercial knowledge including pricing, costing, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
