SUMMARY
TheAccount Manager IIwill provide professional, courteous service to our clients, producers, and company personnel. With a positive attitude, theAMwill provide a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing our commercial accounts. Working alongside the Producers, theAMshall be responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts, including redundant interface with appropriate decision makers, carrier interface/marketing, relevant collaboration with colleagues throughout HUB, and negotiation of coverage terms and conditions.
Issues related to policy processing, maintenance of client data on the Epic agency management system, routine changes (e.g.,adding a new vehicle to the policy), and other transactional or clerical work fall within the domain of theAMII.
This role requires an individual who is professional and who displays the drive, determination, and self-motivation tomanage the needs of the producer and the clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a book of insurance business, while acting withthe necessary level ofindependent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making
Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceedsexpectations.
Provides a high level of support to our Sales staff in obtaining, maintaining, and expandingbusiness.
May also be responsible for account rounding and the development of new business as appropriate and in accordance with standard practices, policies, andprocedures.
Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues.Negotiatewith underwriters and carriers. Troubleshoots claims and billingissues.
Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book ofbusiness.
Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities whenappropriate.
Produce binders, certificates, endorsements, and other related items while verifying theiraccuracy.
Maintain controls on renewals and binders to ensure timely preparation andprocessing.
Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for accountreview.
Remarket renewals, contact clients, create renewalproposals,and handle other renewal activities in coordination with theproducer.
Assist Producers in the premium collection process and handle accountingissues.
Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines ofbusiness.
Assist clients with claims whennecessary.
Adhere to all Agency systems,procedures,and stateregulations.
Assist the Producer withthe implementation of the client’s strategic plan. This includes:
Assisting withkey “value-added” services including, but not limited to, Pre-Renewal Strategic Planning, Risk ID Assessments, Contract Reviews, Claims Reviews (in coordination with Claims Management), Market Analysis, Stewardship Reports, Deductible Analysis, etc.
Assist withthe value-added services being provided by our Risk Services and Claims Management Divisions
Work with producer to understandtheclients’ insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plansto determine suitability. Stayabreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients. Makes appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes independent of managerapproval.
Assists the producer in managing, organizing, and conductingclient meetings whennecessary.
Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in thosesystems.
Supports and helps develop less experienced CSAstaff.
Attends industry related continuing education training andcourses.
QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years in experience in commercial lines with insurance company or agency
A high school diploma required; some college preferred; college degreedesired.
Property and Casualty Insurance License
Goodtelephone techniques and the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and existing clients, as well as other staffmembers.
Proficientwith Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to understand policy forms and coveragedescriptions.
Provenmathematicalskills.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency managementsystems.
Ability to work in a positive teamenvironment.
Strong typing skills with an ability to compose clear and conciseletters.
Organizational skillsrequired.
Willingness to attend educational classesdesired.
