What you'll be doing:
Support new business development including prospecting, product development, and sales executionAssist with customer sales contract negotiation, performance, and risk managementLead company sales and service to support bakery customersProvide exceptional customer service experience with responsive and thorough communication. Field customer service inquiries responsively to ensure exceptional experienceMeet with customers on regular basis to ensure quality and service expectationsBuild and foster genuine customer relationships to support longevityProvide technical support to bakery managers to optimize product selection and performanceCommunicate flour quality parameters as needed relative to specificationsProvide leadership weekly reports on business activities including opportunities and risksAssist transportation team with planning, execution, and problem resolutionAssist accounting team with receivables as neededLead customer response team and follow-ups on performance deviationsMonitor and play an active role in ensuring compliance with food manufacturing and food product regulationsEffectively communicate sales and service objectives to all levels of the organizationWillingness to engage wheat growers on behalf of the sustainability team and ability to learn agronomic basics to assist with this task
Requirements to be successful in this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Baking Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience1-3 years of sales leadership experience preferred5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or service within food industryFood manufacturing knowledge of processes and operations related to milling and baking industry is preferredExcellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to adapt to changing demands and prioritiesStrong analytical skills in the evaluation of situations, priorities and project demandsAbility to work well in a team environment promoting Company valuesAgronomy knowledge a plus
