Account Manager – Automotive Fabric (Senior Level)

Location: Southfield, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (FTE)
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Compensation:

• Base Salary: $140,000–$155,000 annually
• Bonus: 20% annual incentive eligibility

Job Overview

The Account Manager – Automotive Fabric will play a critical role in managing key customer accounts, driving new business growth, and supporting customer programs within the automotive fabric segment. This senior-level role requires deep textile industry experience and close collaboration with customers, internal engineering teams, and manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead account management and growth initiatives across assigned product lines and customers
• Develop and execute customer-specific strategies aligned with regional and global sales objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including purchasing, engineering, and program teams
• Manage inside sales responsibilities, including quoting, pricing, and coordination with manufacturing plants on fabric requirements
• Support new business pursuits and program launches
• Represent the organization at technical presentations, customer meetings, and industry or technology shows
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global engineering, commercial, and operations teams
• Travel as needed to customer sites, manufacturing plants, and other business locations
• Contribute to reporting, systems, and operational support efforts across the fabric organization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in automotive textiles or fabric manufacturing
• Strong experience with automotive fabric applications such as seating, headliners, overhead systems, or similar
• Senior-level account management or sales experience (Tier 1 / Tier 2 automotive preferred)
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of basic financial and commercial principles
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in textile engineering, program management, or quality
• Product experience with seating systems, headliners, overhead systems, or roller shades
• Multilingual skills (Spanish, Korean, or Japanese preferred)
